FSU College of Law needs numerous attorneys to sit as jurors or judges for our fifth annual National Mock Trial competition that will take place at the FSU law school Advocacy Center March 3-5.  Fourteen teams from around the country will participate, including University of Florida, Emory, Virginia, Thurgood Marshall, Louisiana State, University of Wisconsin, University of South Carolina, Florida Coastal, University of Kansas-Missouri, Brooklyn, Fordham, Charleston, and South Dakota.  Rounds are Friday at 1:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. We know it’s a trip to Tallahassee, but attorneys may claim 9 CLE credits in their 3 year reporting cycle for participating in a mock trial event.  This year’s problem is a two count complaint for copyright infringement and unauthorized use of image.   Lord Byron sues his former doctor, Polidori, for taking his work and placing in “The Vampyre”and for using Byron’s image in a videogame, “Vampyre Gone Wild”.  (See attachment)  No experience necessary and it’s a lot of fun!  Please forward to the attorneys in your organization.  Here is a sign-up link.
