FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LAW has an opening for a full-time OPS J.D. Advisor. This position will work within the law school’s Placement Office. This position will strategize with and counsel law students regarding their job searches. The position will oversee student programming including orientations and various networking events. Additionally, the position will coordinate various career fairs for students and recent graduates. The position will be the point person for tracking graduate employment statistics that will be reported to the American Bar Association, various accrediting entities, and media organizations.
We are especially interested in individuals licensed to practice law who have worked in the private sector or worked with the judiciary, but we invite applications from individuals with experience in other legal fields as well. The ideal candidate should have experience working with students, 5 years of post-graduation experience, or experience working with clients.
Candidates are required to have: a juris doctor degree; the ability to work well with others; the ability to work 40 hours a week in our office; the ability to meet deadlines and stay organized; excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite; social media skills; and successfully complete a criminal history background check.
