Fraudulent email warning from The Florida Bar Posted May 16, 2016 by Tallahassee Bar Association

Another fraudulent email, this one with the subject “Supreme Court Bar Association Membership Fees Past Due” is being distributed to Florida Bar members. The email is in fact not from the Florida Supreme Court or The Florida Bar and contains a link to malicious software. It should be deleted immediately.

We warn members not to click on the link within the body of the message or reply, as it may cause potential harm to your computer.

The message directs members to provide payment for overdue membership fees. At this time, the annual fee statements have not been completed. The Florida Bar does not send fee invoices through email. When the fee statements have been put in the mail, we will send out an email letting all members know that fees can be paid on the website with a link to the appropriate location for secure payment processing.

If you have questions about your fee payment, please call Membership Records at (850) 561-5832 or 800-342-8060, ext. 5832.
