Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is issuing a warning to members of The Florida Bar targeted by an ongoing imposter scam. Bar members are receiving emails purported to be from the Florida Attorney General’s Office, informing the recipient that their business is being sued by the state. The email includes a link claiming to be a complaint filed against the recipient’s firm. However, it may actually deploy malware. If you receive such an email, do not click the link and immediately report it to the Florida Attorney General’s Office by calling (866) 9-NO-SCAM or visiting The Bar asks its members to exercise caution when opening emails from unknown senders.
